REYBO Coffee Mug

The design that started it all. The first in my series of "Reconfigured Conglomerates". If you've ever visited Amsterdam, you've probably seen something much like this around town, adorning the entrances buildings that contain food locked behind the donowall.

You can not imagine how difficult it is to wax poetically about a coffee mug. Nevertheless, I'll give it a shot: It's available in standard 11oz size or in a size I call the "Eye Vibrator" which is a 15oz beast. When they find your caffeine-laced corpus on the ground by your computer desk, the investigators' eyes will be inevitably led to the REYBO COFFEE MUG laying on its side, a short distance from your outstretched, still-tremoring hand. A classic case of coffee overdose. "Wow", Detective Grabowski mutters under his breath, "The logo is printed on both sides of their mug. Whoever designed it really considered both left and right-handed coffee drinkers." He glances up to the deputy investigator, who was busy jotting in his notepad. "Bag and tag it and send it down to forensics."

Six months later, Detective Grabowski sits at his desk in the precinct late one night, catching up on paperwork. He glances at his watch. 11:47pm. He takes a swig of his coffee and places the mug gingerly back on his desk with a contented sigh. The mug reads "hoeveel kijkers?" in thin green script underneath the huge block red letters that spell out something of which he never quite cared to learn the origin. It's just a nice big mug, and the trophy of another closed case. Grabowski resumes tapping away at his keyboard in a staccato rhythm.
